2016 Year End Payroll and 1099 Changes

New 1099 rules for 2017 - Do I need to file?

For 1099's filed in 2017 there have been a number of changes to filing dates, along iwith increased fines for non-filing.  Please review the attached documents to determine that you are filing the forms correctly and timely to minimize any penalties that could be imposed.  Any questions please give our office a call.

Partnership Tax Audit Changes

Congress recently enacted significant changes to partnership audit and adjustments rules.  The changes are expected to dramatically increase the audit rates for partnerships and will require partners to carefully review, if not revise, their partnership's operating agreement.
